Rules
General
* Show respect to all members and staff. Do not start fights out of character. If there is to be a disagreement out of character ask one of the staff members to help you settle it. * Do not spam. Avoid posting short, pointless, annoying messages or double posting. Bumping a topic is fine so long as it is not done too often. * If you want to advertise another forum, go to the advertising board, I put it there fore a reason.
Roleplay
* Absolutely no Powerplaying or Godmoding. Powerplaying is when you do something to another character that the other character as not approved or allowed. For instance, if you're having a fight with another character you can only say, "The man jumped forward, his sword aimed straight for the wolf's back." You can't actually say the man (whatever you're roleplaying) jumped and killed the other, you have to let the other person decide if your character hits his own or not. By the way, don't take advantage of this rule, you have to be hit once and a while if in a fight. Godmoding is when you portray your character as an all-mighty, undefeatable, god-like being.
* No Mary Sues either. Mary Sue means a character that has been portrayed as being, "Perfect." They have no flaws in appearance or personality, they always seem to do everything right and everyone loves them, etc... This goes hand-in-hand with Godmoding. Give your characters flaws!
* Do not use chatspeak in roleplay. Type posts in legible, understandable English.
* No Double Posting. The posting rules in roleplay are simple, two posts made by you cannot touch. Meaning that you have to wait until someone else posts after you in order to post again. If you want to add something to your post, just edit it, there's no point in adding a new one.
* Keep things PG-13. No detailed, graphic scenes that would be inappropriate for young adults. Blood and gore is alright. Just no incredibly descriptive 'naughty' scenes. Romance is fine though.
* No time jumps. This isn't a science fiction roleplay, it's just medieval fantasy. So don't fast-forward time so that your characters can become mates and have pups all in the same day.
* Gadgets and Gizmos. Technology in the Ailis territory is limited to common bows, swords, maces and all the good things found in the early times of the medieval days.
Characters
* There is no limit to the number of characters a user can create. Just don't go all crazy and make a ton of characters over a short period of time.
* Post a profile first. You can't roleplay a character if they don't have a profile. They don't have to be accepted by staff to be roleplayed either.
* Limit your magic. For characters that have magical abilities, it needs to be given an appropriate weakness or drawback. No ability can be super strong, all-powerful or limitless or else it would be godmoding.
* No gods, half-gods, demi-gods, etc. This would obviously be godmoding.
* When making profiles, Do not copy names/ideas from other member's profiles. For names, if the name is common or popular it's understandable that the name might be taken more than once. However, unique, creative names made by an individual's imagination are copyright to that person as are ideas such as certain markings and magic.
Wolf Packs and Ranks
* Alpha, Beta and Gamma ranks are not free ranks. They must be earned.
* A single wolf character can only be a member of one pack. So far that's not a problem though, as until we get more members there will only be one pack.
Forum
* No one liners, go for at least one paragraph though it's understandable if you're having a bad day and are brain dead... Just NO ONE LINERS.
* Ooc messages are ok in roleplay. If you need to say something, it's alright to post out of character in the roleplay board, as long as the ooc conversation does not carry on for the entire roleplay.
Signatures
* Don't stretch the forum. Don't post HUGE images in your signatures that will deform the forum width, it's annoying. Also try to keep the images around 400 pixels or so in height. If not, it may be resized.
Code: Resizing Code: [/img]
Images and Artwork
* Do not steal art. If we catch you claiming to have drawn an image that you did not in fact draw, you'll get an automatic 2 day ban. Repeated offense will get you permanently banned. Art theft is a serious crime, especially in an Art Forum. So don't be stupid.
* Give credit where credit is due. You can use images that you find on the web if they look like the character that you have in mind. However, if you didn't draw the image it's important that you post a link to the original artist, or say who originally drew it and NEVER claim to have made it yourself. Also, if you use an image that someone else drew, keep in mind that if they ask you to take it down that you should respect their request.
Administrators and Staff
* Be familiar with the rules. Staff members are required to read the rules at least once a month, in order to stay familiar with them.
Punishments:
Breaking any of the rules can result in an instant 2 day ban, though staff tend to be lenient if the person sincerely apologizes and promises that it won't happen again.
If the same rule is broken a second time by the same person, staff will not be as understanding and it will be up to them how long and what your punishment is.
If the same rule is broken for a third time, depending on what it is you will be permanently banned from this forum.
